Rochester Midland Corporation announces the purchase and relocation of its
Corporate Headquarters to Ogden, NY

Rochester Midland Corporation and Cass Hill Development Corporation are pleased to announce a transaction whereby Rochester Midland will purchase Cass Hill's 167,000 square foot facility in Ogden, and Cass Hill will purchase RMC's two facilities on Hollenbeck Street in the City of Rochester.

"We are delighted that with the encouragement and support of Monroe County, New York State, RGE, and Ogden officials, we were able to find an answer for our need to expand in Monroe County, rather than moving to another state. This will allow us to maintain our existing work force and add to it in the near future" stated Harlan D. Calkins, RMC Chairman and CEO. Among those who teamed up to put the program together were Gay Lenhard, Ogden Town Supervisor, Jack Crooks, Ogden Building Inspector and the Ogden town board, Assemblyman Bill Reilich, Maggie Brooks' office with Judy Seil, Joe Rizzo and Clyde Forbes of RG & E and Dennis Mullen, Upstate President of the Empire State Development Corporation. "We tried hard, working with the City, to remain on Hollenbeck Street. After exhausting the options there, we were excited to find a site within Monroe County which would work for us", said Michael S. Coyner, RMC President and COO.

The company will be eligible for a $300,000 grant from Empire State Development (ESD) to assist in this effort. "New York State is pleased to support RMC's decision to further expand its operations in Rochester," said ESD Chairman & CEO designate Dennis M. Mullen. "This expansion will further strengthen Upstate's existing manufacturing base, as well as keep an iconic Rochester company operating and growing right here in the Finger Lakes."

County Executive Maggie Brooks said, "I am extremely pleased that Rochester Midland has decided to remain in Monroe County. They are a valuable employer to over 160 local residents and we are proud to partner with them in their expansion and job creation efforts. "

Cass Hill President Marc Paquin, whose firm is based in Albany, stated that he is looking forward to utilizing creative ideas to re-develop the two Hollenbeck properties. Paquin is originally from Rochester.

RMC's move to Ogden will take place over a number of months.
